ECnet in SPETA Outreach Event | Singapore Chinese Chamber of Commerce & Industry, Singapore
Shortly after joined Singapore Precision Engineering & Technology Association (SPETA), we have joined an outreach event, introducing ECnet and our solutions to its members through a speaking slot and a booth to cater their enquiries.

During the event, our Vice President, Enterprise Solutions, Mr. Chen Shao Zhong shared on Infor CloudSuite Industrial/Business and Infor Business Intelligence (BI). We also introduced our SCM solutions via our booth, which we received quite some sound response from the attendees.

The event attracted around 60 representatives from 40 companies, mainly the members of SPETA and some other service providers.

ECnet in Retail Technology Show Asia 2016 | Suntec Singapore, Singapore
It was a privilege for us to be in this prestigious show, featuring JDA Category Management and our very own e-Bizplace, Enterprise Procurement, Supply Chain Management System (SCIM) and Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) to the Asia market.

We received sound response from the attendees. Some of the organizations which shown interest were Ranch Market, Log In Megastore and Harley Davidson, just to mentioned a few.

With a joint effort with JDA, we also shared on Category Management in its conference, presented by Mr. Harsha, JDA Asia Pacific Solutions Consulting Senior Director.

Our team in Thailand initiated a rather smaller but targeted event in the form of workshop, in a coffee house to better interact and understand the requirements of warehouse management system and ERP.

An annual seminar named Supply Chain Convention 2012 was held in One World Hotel, Petaling Jaya, Selangor, Malaysia on 20 June 2012.

ECnet Supply Chain Convention: Penang, Malaysia
Date : 13 April 2011

Venue : Hotel Eastin, Penang

Following up to our seminar in Malacca, ECnet held a Supply Chain Convention in Penang. Hosted in Hotel Eastin, Penang, this event was successfully formed with our partners Infor Global Solutions and Motorola Solutions.

While most relate to Penang with tourism, cultural heritage and good food, it is also known for a thriving manufacturing sector with many industrial giants that account for almost half of the state's GDP in 2000. This Convention is very memorable to us as there were participants from both Penang and Kedah. With this Convention, ECnet hoped to introduce ourselves with key players and forge stronger ties with previous acquaintances.

During the Convention, ECnet and partners shared several supply chain topics with our attendees:

• End-to-end procurement via electronic channel
• Providing an enterprise's foundation with ERP system
• Effective Supply Chain Management with Enterprise mobility
• Maximize warehouse essentials
• A new Medium for the marketplace: e-Bizplace

Mr Vincent, ECnet Malaysia's Director of Sales officiate the Convention with a brief opening speech followed by Mr Ben Lim, Account Manager to talk on the first topic of e-Procurement followed by an informative session on ERP systems by Infor Global Solutions by Mr. YK Tan, Presales Consultant for Infor Global Solutions Singapore. Following up, Mr. Philip Leong, Director of Business Development from our Partner Motorola Solutions discussed key points on creating an effective supply chain management.

After Mr. Philip's session, we invited our guests to an afternoon break where speakers and attendees took the opportunity to discuss key points made during the sessions. Returning from refreshments, Mr Sandeep Basu, Director of Enterprise Solutions from ECnet discussed essential issues to be addressed to maximize warehouse essentials. For our final session of the day, Mr. Vincent returned to speak about creating a new medium for the marketplace, e-Bizplace. This is a special session as it is ECnet's first time addressing finding new opportunities through e-Commerce.

With the last session concluded, a brief Q&A session was held followed by a lucky draw where three lucky participants walk away with attractive prizes.

"Improving Supply Chain. Empowering Technologies"

ECnet recently held its first supply chain seminar for the year 2011. Hosted by ECnet and sponsored by Infor Global Solutions, it was an especially memorable event the fact that this is the first time ECnet held a seminar in Malacca City, providing us the opportunity to establish our presence in Malacca and forge closer ties with Malacca industries.

Malacca City, along with George Town is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2008. Besides its historical significance, it is an important economic contribution to Malacca from its tourism and manufacturing industries situated along the outskirts of the city such as Cheng, Batu Berendam, Ayer Keroh and Tasik Utama.

Under the theme "Improving Supply Chain. Empowering Technologies", ECnet decided to share the topics:

• Streamlining supply chain via eProcurement
• Managing organization's core system with ERP
• Optimizing operations with Lean manufacturing through JIT and VMI
• Maximizing warehouse capabilities with WMS

Mr Vincent Tey, ECnet Malaysia's Director of Sales gave a welcoming speech to officiate the seminar followed by Mr Ben Lim, Account Manager of ECnet Malaysia to share some tips on eProcurement followed by an entertaining session by Mr Sandeep Basu, ECnet Singapore Vice President and technical guru on the benefits of having an ERP system to manage organizational activities.

Following Mr Sandeep's talk, the guests were treated to a light refreshment break and took the opportunity to pick the speaker's brain. Returning from tea break, Mr Denis Koay, ECnet Senior Account Manager continued with a talk on lean manufacturing through JIT and VMI. For the last topic on the agenda, ECnet had the honor of having Mr. Cas Brentjens from Infor Global Solutions to be the guest speaker for WMS and as an added bonus, he included a session on Infor Barcode for the attendants.

Having concluded the seminar, a short Q&A session was held followed by a lucky draw game where three lucky participants won attractive electrical appliances.

ECnet Thailand proudly hosted its second seminar for the year 2010 in Ayutthaya, Thailand, sponsored

by Infor Global Solutions and IBM with the running theme "Improving Supply Chain. Empowering Technologies". Ayutthaya is located at the convergent point of Chao Phraya, Lopburi and Pa Sak rivers, and on the main north-south railway linking Chiang Mai to Bangkok, inheriting a healthy economy of trade from the legacies of the old Ayutthaya kingdom.

The seminar was held with the intention to create awareness about advances in supply chain & enterprise solutions and technologies to maximize competitive advantage of businesses, with special focus on:

TAPA Asia Security Conference: Marina Bay Sands, Singapore
ECnet participated in the Transported Asset Protection Association (TAPA) Asia Security Seminar held in 2-4 November, Marina Bay Sands, Singapore. TAPA is "An association of security professionals and related business partners from high technology and high value companies who have organized for the purpose of addressing the emerging security treats that are common to the high value industry supply chain". One of the association's key focuses is to positively affect "change in the security practices of the freight transportation and insurance communities as a whole"

During this industry conference, it provided ECnet a valuable platform to introduce, engage and network with Supply Chain peers & industry practitioners ranging from commercial (DHL, Intel, Pfizer), certification bodies (TAPA, TUV), to academics & government agencies (Tokyo University of Marine Science & Technology, Singapore Customs, Brunei International Air Cargo Centre), providing insight & better understanding into the latest industry needs and anticipating new trends in defining better products & services.

ECnet Supply Chain Seminar: Johor Bahru, Malaysia
ECnet Malaysia alongside with its sponsors, Infor Global Solutions & IBM gathered forces to organize its Supply Chain Seminar with the theme "Improving Supply Chain. Empowering Technologies" in Johor Bahru, Johor, Malaysia on 26th October 2010.

Being one of the three main urban centres on the peninsular Malaysia (Besides Kuala Lumpur and Penang), Johor Bahru is an important industrial, logistical and commercial centre. Johor Bahru's heavy industrial areas are focused in Pasir Gudang and Tanjung Langsat, which is situated east of the metropolitan area while light to medium industrial areas are mainly located north and north-west of the metropolitan area, which include Tebrau, Tampoi, Senai, Skudai and Kulai.

Johor Bahru has seen tremendous change from its founding as a fishing village in 1855 by Temenggong Daing Ibrahim to its official recognition as a city on 1 January 1994. Johor Bahru is also an appealing location for Singapore, as seen by the number of Singapore owned businesses and tourists and this has encouraged a thriving economy between both countries.

Chonburi, a province of Thailand that located at the west of Gulf of Thailand, is heavily industrialized and underpinned by shipping, transportation, tourism, and manufacturing industries.
